Scapiccio is one of the world’s oldest barber families. Marco Scapicchio ﬁrst opened his barber shop in 1820 and for the following five generations the artisan skills have been handed down from father to son. in producing this Signature Series: Fig, Olive and Bay Rum Shaving Soap, contributing to the ultimate shave experience.

Scapicchio are masters of the art of the vintage Italian and specialists in the Kamisori fixed blade shave, with these techniques still being taught in their famed Accademia. The soap’s scent pays homage to Luigi’s great grandfather who emigrated to Chicago in 1910 and opened his first Italian barbershop where he was one of Al Capone’s trusted personal barbers.

The inspiration for Captain Fawcett, Scapiccio's Fig, Olive and Bay Rum soap's scent takes inspiration from the Fig and Olive groves found in the Scapicchio family’s native Puglia. A hint of West Indian Bay Rum, a traditional hair tonic, has been added creating a fusion of both the Old and the New Worlds.
